The Sugar Heritage Village is a project born out of a need to preserve the memories of one of the most important industries in the country, Trinidad and Tobago’s sugar industry. In doing so, this initiative will transform acres of underutilized land into valuable historical, educational, sporting, recreational, environmental and commercial resources for the country’s benefit.

Mission:

To honour and preserve the memory of Trinidad & Tobago’s sugar industry while transforming underutilized Caroni land into an area complemented with historical, educational, sporting, recreational, environmental and commercial facilities.

Vision:

- A globally unique tourist attraction known for its tribute to the sugar workers who contributed to the once dynamic sugar industry in Trinidad and Tobago.

- A valuable asset to the Couva/Point Lisas area because of its quality historical, educational, sporting, recreational, environmental and commercial facilities.
