Before Trinidad and Tobago’s sugar industry came to a close in 2003, sugar cane was cultivated and its products and by-products produced under Caroni (1975) Limited.  While Caroni land comprises over 75,000 acres situated in various areas of Trinidad, the Sugar Heritage Village will be located on the Caroni land in Brechin Castle, Couva, which spans 562 acres.

The Sugar Heritage Village project will commemorate the contribution of those who worked for Caroni while ensuring that the underutilized land brings value to not only those who live in and around the area, but also to all T&T nationals and visitors to our country.
